Problems? We can help!
The Education Clinic at the University of Alberta supports professional development and research by providing graduate students with quality training experience in the areas of counselling, psychological assessment, and literacy remediation. The Education Clinic at the University of Alberta is committed to the community at large through the provision of low cost services to the general public.
Note: Clinic fees change
After many years of offering services at highly subsidized rates, our fee structure must now more closely reflect the actual costs of operations. While we maintain our commitment to offering affordable services to individuals in the community, our fee structure must reflect something closer to our actual costs of providing services.
Our service period will remain the same, with clients seen between September and April of the academic year. However, our fee structure will be as follows as of July 1, 2013.
Assessment: $500 per assessment
Counselling: $250 per year
Vocational Testing/Counselling: $250 per assessment
These costs continue to represent the lowest available costs in the city, and are substantially lower than professional rates. As always, clients who have reduced financial resources will be able to apply for a fee reduction or waiver. Please note that waiver requests are subject to a formal application process, which requires documentation (provided at the point of referral upon request).
