Drs. Patricia Boechler and Mike Carbonaro are the recipients of the Faculty of Education 2011 Technology Teaching Award. Their course “Ed It 486, Interactive Multimedia: Teaching and Learning with Video Games, A Constructivist Approach” was lauded as an outstanding exemplar of innovative pedagogical use of technology in the classroom. Their work serves to push teachers and learners to think carefully about how the learning process and cognitive skill development relate to each other. A presentation of the course will be showcased at the Technology Teaching and Research Fair on March 25, 2011.
